How To: Setup and Manage Your Budget on Doughhound.com

When you view your budget page for the first time you will see a few of the budgets we already made for you on the left-hand side of the screen, and a place to make your own budgets on the right hand side.

This user is creating an annual travel budget and wants to spend about $1000 every year on travel related expenses.

With Doughhound you get the option of setting the budget amount and the budget period. The budget period doesn't have to be the same for every budget category you create, select whatever works best for you.

As you can see below, the new Travel budget just created is already in this user's list of Budget Categories! This user is in the middle of editing their Food budget to allot $250 per month.

They have already edited the Transportation budget and have alloted $50 per week.

Maybe later they will give themselves a budget for Entertainment expenses, but if they don't that's OK too! Budget categories aren't activated until you set a budget.

You will also see a few budgets labeled Miscellaneous. If you add spending to your Doughhound.com account and forget to select a budget, or don't know where to put it, it will default to the Miscellaneous budget.
